Starting point for Learn! is that we support projects that we can easily monitor and which make communication easily possible. The projects are about education in the broadest sense of the word. So, it might mean education for children, but also for adults.

Project proposals

We find it necessary that applications are accompanied by a project proposal. This proposal should be like a business plan and should contain a plan for financing, a timeline planning, and a method of evaluation. In management speak: plan, do, act and check.

Linking sponsor and project

We link our sponsors as much as possible to specific projects. Their involvement is guaranteed in this way and the sponsor will be able to follow their own project. But, there is also money reserved for general projects so that we can act adequately when we receive proposals. That is just as important.

Local representatives

In every project we work with local representatives. In this way we guarantee that the information we receive is up to date and that we can act quickly if necessary. We check how the money is spent. It is important that a request for support comes from local people. We rich Westerners should not decide what is best. If there is no connection between what we think is important for them and what they indicate they actually need, the project is bound to fail.
