| About Learn! |
Our aimThe Learn! Foundation aims to contribute significantly to the improvement of training and schooling possibilities in disadvantaged countries. The communication with the projects is strong and the monitoring frequent. All donations are spent on the projects. The organisation itself provides the necessary funds for travel, administration, etc, privately. Learn! has 3 boardmembers, a council of advice and numerous volunteers. Learn! considers eductaion the best, if not the only way to leave poverty behind and to grow as an individual. Our logo symbolizes that thought. Learn! wants its projects to be durable. Therefore local initiatives are supported and materials for carrying out the projects are all acquired locally. The boardIngrid Vink-van Dam, chair and founder of Learn! ' Education, even if it is free, seems to be the prerogative of the well to do. Extra funds are needed to enable the poor to go to school. Learn! provides that.' Kathleen Boeije, secretary. ' I work for the Justice Department, with asylumseekers. Every day I see people who will go to all lenghts to find a better future for themselves and their children. I also wanted to help the people in their countries of origin. Learn! enables me to do that.' Paul Vink, treasurer. ' I own Viac, a building company. Education is of major importance. My company wants to be socially responsible and I do this by being active in Learn! My network in building also helps.'
